As a youngster I can well remember the winter months back then how the snow used to come and seemed to stay for weeks on end, much to the delight of my siblings and friends alike. The area in which we lived had small hills down which we could sledge until our hearts where content. Every day seemed to bring with it a new adventure. Indeed we just could not wait for school to finish so we could rush home, quickly down our tea, and dash out to join our pals for some great fun. In those days any new snow fall was a welcome sight, although I have to admit I no longer feel that enthusiastic about it, nevertheless I would not deny the pleasure to the young ones today. These days though, people do not limit themselves to staying at home when the cold season sets in. Indeed, with winter adventure holidays being available in many locations, a lot of folk venture off to enjoy a vacation in one of them.

Of course, for these people it is not just a case of swapping one cold country for another. No, amongst the adventures that they seek, are things that they find inspiring, such as the delightful experience of viewing the Northern Lights. A trip to the Arctic Circle in a place such as Lapland, presents many spectacular landscapes that really does make it a winter wonderland of delight. With many activities in a selection of destinations there is something for everyone to turn a holiday there into an adventure! The big question has to be, just how adventurous are you? For those once in a life time trips you could visit the Ice Hotel in Sweden to spend a night there and be an eyewitness to the amazing artistic sculptures that make the ice building really special. While on vacation there, you could mush your own team of husky dogs and see all the landscapes that way. Really, there is so much to keep all occupied just like e as kids found so much to do when the snow came.
